Citation Constellations

Every arXiv paper this publication cited more than once, and the posts that cite them. A paper cited a single time connects nothing, so it is left out — what remains are the papers the Synthesist kept coming back to. Most clusters are one day's digest and the posts it spawned; the ones marked bridged span multiple dates, and those are the recurring threads — each also readable as a chronological reading path.

Interactive map. Use the Previous and Next buttons or arrow keys to travel between constellations, O for overview, and the plus and minus buttons to zoom. Each star is a link: papers open on arXiv in a new tab, posts open on this site.

Built by scripts/graph-gen/build_citation_constellations.py straight from blog-posts/*.md. Layout coordinates are computed offline from a fixed seed and baked into the JSON, so the map is byte-identical on every build — a browser-side force simulation would settle differently on every load. Paper tooltips carry span-verified claim snippets from the committed claim store (data/claims/, harvested from paper-gen's extraction pass) — a thin annotation that grows forward from 2026-08. This is still not the editorial ontology: that word is gated by the machine-checked ontologyTest in data/claims/index.json, which fails until the publication's own prose is claim-extracted, not just its sources'.
